Isn't he beautiful. Paul and I turned off Hiway 6 toward the east when we were inbetween Clifton and Valley Mills. These guys were just hangin' out wanting their photo taken.

Floor Time

Wrestling was evidentally a favorite way to pass the time. I have quite a few photos to add under this heading. As I look at these photos I'm realising that I don't have enough wrestling in my life.

Only Surviving Photo

As far as we know, this is the only photo in existance from the Toga Party. I'm not sure, but that might be a good thing. Here again, I don't think I was at that party. Or spent it in the closet.

100 Club

I'm sure this will shock you guys. Yes Becky kept the tally sheet. I can't believe it survived. I wish I had some memory to share of that night... but alas. Perhaps some of you can share. All I remember is 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes.

Thursday -

Sorry I haven't posted new photos in a day or two. I've been painting every spare moment I can. I love doing it, and hope that if I do it enough, I can move past the "beginner" stage. I have been working on a computer for so many years, the loose, runny, outta control watercolors are a challenge. This photo is a couple of tries at a little boxer. I like the second one I did, but the dog people like the first one. So... forgive me for posting something that isn't B&B related... just didn't want to wait too long, and make you think I had forgotten.

Boogie Shoes

I often wonder if that house was really as big as I remember it. But it was big enough to have a dance floor.

Paul... dancing? Captured on Film, so we know it's true. I was so infatuated!

Winner

Robert seems to have won this round. We get a glimpse of his broken arm in this photo. When everyone came back to school that fall, John and I both had our arms in a cast. Later that afternoon...Robert had a run in with a pool cue in the sub. So three of the 9 of us had broken arms.

My broken arm story had actually started during finals the previous semester. We were all playing frizbee in front of Eddy Hall. I don't remember there being a keg involved...but who are we kidding. As I remember it, I was jumping up to catch the frizbee when Brett tackled me around the legs. I put my hand down to "break" my fall, and the radius was the looser. I had to convince Bryan that it was broken, and then calm Marla down enough to go call my dad. I think we ended up driving by my house and having Dad meet us out there.

The details are fuzzy, but I did spend the summer in a "cast" and then had the joint replaced right before school started in the fall. My first broken bone, and GREAT story to tell.

The Flying Schlosser

There was a lot of "horse play" in the B&B. Here Andrew demonstrates the "Flying Schlosser".

Just wondering if that unidentified guy in the back of the photo is the one I convinced to swallow a teaspoon of salt to cure the hiccups. This was after an afternoon of drinking beer. Let's just call it a learning experience.

Ice Cold Beer

During the winter months, the porch on the B&B house is where the kegs were kept. It was glassed in, and plenty cold. I don't remember many times when there wasn't at least one keg out there.

Andrew

From the beginning... there was Andrew. While he didn't share a room with B&B, he lived just down the hall. I haven't found his email address, so I'm hoping one of you will send it to me. I don't recognise the two figures seated, but they show up in the background of several of these pics.

The Whole Bunch

Now the way I remember this is...they had been drinking pretty heavily when we talked them into driving all the way across town to get their picture made at whatever "super store" it was. But, they did it, and these old yellowed photos are cherished.

The B&B... of B&B Bar

This is the infamous Bryan and Brett. This is one of many photos in the collection that show Brett, trying his hardest to study, read, or just look uninterested. But like it or not... when you live in the midst of a whirlwind...it's hard to get anything done.

A Game of Jax

It all began innocent enough. A friendly game of jax on the front steps. Check out those college boys playing jax with me.

Just for the hell of it!

Digging through an old trunk full of photos, in preparation for my 30th class reunion, I came across a bunch of old photos that needed to breath. This blog will probably only be of interest to those that participated in the events documented by these photos. While my memories are somewhat clouded, just like foam on a beer, the good times come to the surface.

My involvement with this bunch started one fall when I met Bryan in Mr. Zachry's Printing Technologies class. Bryan and Brett lived in "Co-Eddy". We would hang out in that tiny dark dorm room for hours. The best times were when we would have a pony keg in the room, and play frizbee football out on the lawn with the tap hanging out the window. Well, it was all fun and games until Brett broke my arm... (haha) As far as I know... there are no photos of that semester. Just foggy memories, but that is where the B&B Bar name came from.
